How to make a perfume last all day?

1. Choose a quality perfume:
The quality of a perfume is closely linked to its composition of high-quality ingredients and their concentration, which influences the lifespan and persistence of the fragrance on the skin. Created with rare ingredients and great attention to detail.
2. Apply to clean skin:
Applying perfume to clean skin allows the perfume to adhere better, because oils, impurities and odors from the skin can interact with the fragrance, altering its composition and hold.
3. Moisturize your skin :
Well-hydrated skin retains perfume better. Apply a fragrance-free moisturizer or lotion to the areas where you will apply perfume. Tip: Vaseline, due to its fatty composition, creates an occlusive barrier on the skin which traps the aromatic molecules of the perfume, thus extending its lifespan.
4. Choose the pulse points:
Areas of your body where heat is generated, called pulse points, are ideal for applying perfume. These include the neck, wrists, inside of the elbows, behind the ears, and knees. These areas emit heat, which will help diffuse the scent.
5. Do not rub:
After application, do not rub the areas where you applied the perfume. This misconception is false because it can break down the perfume molecules and reduce its longevity. It is best to dab gently to preserve the integrity of the perfume.
6. Avoid spraying on your clothes:
Clothing can absorb and retain odors, which can alter the scent. Spray the perfume directly on your skin but be careful; Some perfumes can cause allergic reactions. If in doubt, please request the Safety Data Sheet for your product.
7. Use matching bath products:
Using bath products that match its scent, such as shower gels and body lotions from the same line, can help enhance the scent consistently. This creates a harmonious scent experience because these products share similar notes with the perfume, helping to extend the life of the fragrance on the skin. However, it is essential to ensure that these bath products are designed to be used together with the specific fragrance to avoid any odor incompatibility.
8. Keep a proper distance:
Spraying a perfume at a distance of 15 to 20 cm from the skin allows for a more uniform and light distribution of the fragrance. This method limits the amount of perfume applied in a single spray, reducing the risk of overload and allowing the perfume to dry on the skin without being altered by excessive application. As a result, perfume can better interact with the skin's natural oils, helping to extend its lifespan.
9. Store your perfume correctly:
To preserve perfume effectively, store it in a cool, dry, dark place, away from direct sunlight, at a constant temperature. Avoid shaking the bottle, keep the cap closed, and avoid moisture. It is recommended to use it within 1-2 years of opening to preserve its quality and longevity.
10. Avoid Clunky Fragrance Layering:
The marriage of different perfumes, also called "Layering" in trend, is the art of layering fragrances, offering unique personalization. Avoiding clumsy mistakes requires knowing the notes, subtle application, and pre-testing on the skin.
